The journey began in 2014 when, after learning the basics at a weekend workshop, Dave made his wife Jennie a 14ft Yurt for her birthday.

After 30 years of uniformed service (9 in the RAF & 21 as a Paramedic) Dave needed a fresh challenge & one that reflected his love of the outdoors, being close to nature & the joy he feels whenever he is in the hills (summer or winter !!)

Seeing the pleasure that Jennie’s Yurt brought to everyone who spent time in it was all the incentive Dave needed to set up Dragonfly Yurts with Jennie & start lovingly creating his stunningly beautiful Yurts from locally sourced Ash, Oak & Douglas Fir.

All Dave’s Yurts, whether hired or sold are testament to the attention to detail plus the love & craftmanship he puts into each & every project he delivers.
